Where can I use it? You can use the Friends' Gold Card to save money on single, return and saver return tickets for the Gold Card holder and up to four children between the following stations:

Carnforth, Lancaster, Bare Lane and Morecambe	all stations between Wennington and Leeds all stations between Settle and Carlisle, and between Carlisle and Brampton (via Settle)

How much does it cost? The Gold Card costs £12 per individual user, though family members are entitled to obtain two Gold Cards at £12 each. (In this case we will need the surname and initials of both Gold Card holders).

How much can I save? You save 1/3rd on the cost of single, day return and saver tickets between valid stations. You also obtain the opportunity to take advantage of the great fare offers on the line or other discount offers, which are only available to Dales Railcard holders and Gold Card holders. This can represent a saving after only one journey on the line!

What about children? Up to four children (ages 5 to 15 inclusive) can travel with a Gold Card holder, and the child fare is based on an 81% discount on the adult fare. There is a minimum child fare of £1.

How do I apply for the first time or renew an existing Gold Card? Either apply online below or complete the application form and send it to the Friends Membership Secretary. Your Gold Card will be despatched within 28 days of receiving your application*, though we will make every effort to dispatch them as soon as possible. Please allow sufficient time for this.

*Members with standing orders or direct debits will need to amend their payment details - please write to us enclosing an SAE. Please note that in this case we will not be able to process your Gold Card application until you have returned the amended direct debit/standing order form that we will send you.

How long Is the Gold Card valid? Gold Cards are valid for twelve months from the date of issue or commencement date.

How soon in advance can I apply for renewal of my Gold Card? Up to one month

I am not a member, but would like a Gold Card If you are not presently a member, please add the Gold Card to your basket and then visit the membership category to select your appropriate membership subscription.
