There used to be a tankhouse at Garsdale which doubled up as a dance hall, and the occasional steam train still stops for water which is now pumped from a local stream.
The turntable from here, now at Keighley, spun out of control on one particularly windy day and sand had to be poured in to slow the engine down. Following this incident a stockade was built around the turntable to prevent such a re-occurrence.
The waiting room at Garsdale has been used in the past as both a Library and a Church.
